Hello! My name is Meagan Carey and I love being a Lincoln Leopard. This is my 7th year at Lincoln, but I have been a School Counselor for about 16 years. I earned my undergraduate from UNC Chapel Hill and my Masters of Ed. in School Counseling from Appalachian State University. My role is to support students with social/emotional skills, tools to help support their academics, and to help them be career ready. This may be through individual meetings, small group meetings, or classroom lessons. I also value working with families to help students reach their full potential.

Hi Lincoln Elementary! My name is Shawn Moore, and I’m excited to be joining the Lincoln Elementary family as your School Counselor. I’m passionate about supporting students’ social-emotional growth, building positive relationships, and helping every child feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
As a school counselor, I look forward to partnering with students, families, teachers, and staff to help our students develop skills in emotional regulation, problem-solving, resilience, and positive relationships. I believe every student has strengths and potential, and I’m excited to help them recognize and build on those strengths.
