I was born and raised in Minnesota but now love living in North Carolina. When I was little, I wanted to be a teacher like my mom. I love having the opportunity to be a part of these kiddos' lives at such an important time. I cherish the opportunity to help them fall in love with good books, interesting science, and learning! It is my goal to help foster a love for learning and a successful start in educational skills and habits. I value each student's gifts, talents, abilities, and personalities! I believe we must teach the whole child with consideration of each child's unique learning needs and interests. 

I am married to the love of my life and I have three precious children. I am a proud twin mom and enjoy all the time with my family. We enjoy nature, trips to the beach, reading, Friday night pizza, and watching a good movie! 

Educational Background:

I first attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and received a Bachelors in English Bible. After working many years in schools in many different roles, I decided to pursue a degree in the Masters in the Art of Teaching from North Carolina Agricultural and Technilogical University.
