Hello Town Creek Gator families!! My name is Katie Johnson and I am a first grade teacher at Town Creek Elementary. This is my second year at Town Creek Elementary teaching first grade. 

I live in Oak Island with my husband, two daughters, Madison and Taylor, and our dog, Miller. My oldest daughter attends Meredith College in Raleigh, where she is majoring in accounting and plays lacrosse for Meredith's lacrosse team. My youngest daughter is a senior at South Brunswick High and wants to continue her education in the cosmology and esthetic field after graduation. In my spare time, I enjoy being on the beach, watching sunsets, going to live music, and spending time with friends and family.  

I have been in the education field for 15 years. When my daughters were young, I worked as a preschool teacher for about 4 years. I then became a teacher assistant while I was finishing my degree in elementary education. After finishing my degree, I worked as a first grade teacher and a NCPreK  teacher before coming to Town Creek Elementary as a first grade teacher. I am currently on my eight year of teaching.
