Heather Jones

Welcome to my classroom!

Meet Mrs. Heather Jones

Hello everyone! My name is Heather Jones, and I am thrilled to be your science teacher this year.

My Background & Education

Originally from Wilkes County, NC, I moved to the beautiful coastal area in 2007. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Appalachian State University.

Teaching Experience

I have been proudly serving Brunswick County Schools since 2007. My teaching journey includes:

• LMS: 13 wonderful years of teaching

• TCMS: Joined the founding team when the school opened in 2020

• Subjects: Middle school math and science (6th, 7th, and 8th grades), plus one year of high school experience

My Philosophy

This year, I am excited to explore the wonders of science with all of you. My goal is to make our classroom a space where learning is both fun, hands-on, and deeply engaging.

Outside the Classroom

When I am not teaching, you can usually find me embracing my inner sports enthusiast! I am a massive Tarheel basketball fan and love watching my son play sports. I also have a passion for trivia and love spending my free time crafting macramé.

I am so excited to embark on this year’s adventures with you all. Let's make it a fantastic year of learning together!
