Ms. Silberman's Art Class
Class Overview
Don't feel like you're an artist? No worries!
In Visual Arts at Cedar Grove Middle School, unlock your imagination, practice new art techniques, and think of art as a tool to use to combat stress! In class, we will be problem solve together, collaborate on school-wide projects and ultimately, lift each other up through positive feedback and critiquing sessions.
We will learn and apply both Elements of Art and Principles of Design, along with practicing our creative writing skills for almost every project. From learning the art of the Japanese haiku to creating our own limericks--students will have ample opportunities to build their writing skills throughout the year.
Additionally, students will be immersed in different styles of art and art history, while learning about cultural movements and impactful artists, not only around the world, but also in our own community.
