As per the Brunswick County School AIG curriculum, we will cover the following units, one per quarter:

As per the Brunswick County School 7th grade curriculum, we will cover the following 4 units:
Exploring Identity Through Choices
Overcoming Adversity Through Perseverance
Finding Truth Through Questioning
Reflecting on Life Through Growth and Change
My name is Ms. Boyd, and I am a 7th grade ELA teacher. I have the unique perspective of coming to this class from teaching 8th grade ELA down the hall here at LMS. I know where we will need to arrive by the end of 7th grade, and what will be necessary to prepare for 8th grade.
I have a Masters in Middle School Social Studies, and I also hold certifications for ELA and ESOL (English to speakers of other languages).

I have 4 children of my own, 2 boys and 2 girls, and they are mostly grown up now. My oldest kids are married and my youngest is a senior at UNC Charlotte. I also have two grand-babies who are both 1 yr old.
Lastly, I like to play tennis and I’m trying to get better at it!
