Hi Sharks! My name is Janell Spencer. I am excited to work as one of the two Belville Student Support Specialists/Interventionists. This year, you will find me in the classroom providing math interventions to students, supporting teachers and working with families to meet the needs of our Sharks. 

I've lived in North Carolina for the past 21 years, but I still enjoy visiting my hometown in Utah whenever I get the chance to spend time with family.

I’m married to my hardworking husband, Doug, and we have three wonderful sons, three amazing daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. As a family, we enjoy the beach, sailing, and spending quality time together.

This will be my 18th year in the classroom, and I continue to love every moment of teaching. I believe in setting high—but achievable—expectations for my students, and I’m committed to helping them grow into confident, critical thinkers and lifelong learners.
