Hello, my name is Amber Clifford. I am the Behavioral Specialist at Virginia Williamson Elementary School.

Education

I received my Bachelor's in Arts Degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Psychology and a Master's in Social Worker at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Role

Some of my roles and responsibilities as a Behavioral Specialist include working individually or in a group with general education and special education students. In these groups, we learn social emotional skills to help improve their academic experience. I also assist students with developing skills to self manage behaviors, regulate emotions, improve social/friendship skills, and self reflection practices. Partnering with the students, families, teachers and staff is also a big part of my role to assist students in reaching their full potential while they are attending Brunswick County Schools.
