Welcome!

I am Elizabeth McCann and I am originally from Wilkesboro, North Carolina. I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree in K-12 Health & Physical Education as well as two Minors in Exercise Science and Sports Science & Coaching. Go, Mountaineers!!

I decided to pursue a job in teaching math in 2021. Coming from a background heavily concentrated in physics and other mathematics, I was able to get math added to my license.

I was a collegiate swimmer for 2 years at Lenoir Rhyne University and an active member of Appalachian State University's Club Swim Team for the remaining duration of my college career. In 2023, I had the privilege of beginning NBHS's very first swim program! I am very excited about this opportunity and I cannot wait to see our students excel in a new area!
