We spent the week last week exploring similes and metaphors. We ended the week by creating our very own poems! This week we are going to be reading about Bigfoot. Each day of the week this month we have been reading about the many black Americans that played a huge role in changing things in this country for the better. We talk daily about how it takes a long time to make these changes happen and it is up to us (the future of this country) to make sure that things continue to change in the right direction!
