Rehearsals: Will be weekly on Tuesday from 2:45 – 4:00 in the music room. Students should be picked up no later than 4:10 at the bus ramp. Students will be taken to Extended Day where a fee will occur if not picked up on time. If students are picked up late more than 2 times it may result in suspension from the chorus program.
Practice: Students will have homework each week through this webpage. Students should practice their songs 2 times a week at 10 minute sections.
Attendance: Students should be at each rehearsal. If students have more than 2 absences in a term, it may result in suspension from the chorus program. Excused/Unexcused absences are considered an absence. Please communicate with me prior to the absence via email or text.
Membership Fee: There is a membership fee of $30 which includes a polo, t-shirt, folder and music.
Chorus Uniforms: Students will wear a chorus polo and black pants/skirt for formal performances. Students will wear chorus t-shirt and jeans for informal performances.
Communication: Announcements will be communicated through Remind. Please text @starksings to 81010 to receive them. I will send out emails with more detailed information.

Sept 29th - JHS Homecoming - National Anthem at 7 p.m. *required* (see below)
Oct 28th - Fall Festival - Optional Concert
Nov. 9th - Literacy Night at 6 p.m.
Nov. 10 - Veteran Informance - in school performance
Dec. 2 - Winter Concert at Performing Art Center 11:00-12:20 *required*
Jan 16 - First Rehearsal of Term 2
March 28th - Music in Our School Concert at 6:30 *required
May 11th - Musicpalooza - 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. at Indian Springs *required
May 17th - May 19th - America Sings! *optional* overnight trip to Savannah GA for a music workshop. More information to come at a later date when prices are finalized. Payment Plan available.

6:20 p.m. - Students arrive at Bus Parking Lot to check in
***Parents - you are not allowed to park in the bus lot or the lot behind the field house. This is a drop off area only
6:35 p.m. - Students enter through the band entrance to go to the warm up area
6:50 p.m. - Students move to sidelines to watch pre-show
7:10 p.m. - On Field to Perform National Anthem
7:15 p.m. - Students leave field
7:20 p.m. - Students to Main Gate to be picked up
Attire - Students wear Red Chorus T-shirt, jeans (no holes) and closed toed shoes. Color of the shoe does not matter.
Shirts will be passed at rehearsal next week (9/19/23.)
Attendance - this is a required performance for all students to attend. Please let me know if there is an issue getting your child to the performance ASAP!
Ticket Cost: Students will enter with me. Families who wish to see the performance will need to purchase a ticket at the gate for $10 each. Once you drop off your child you can go to the Main Gate to purchase your ticket. If you do not plan to purchase a ticket you can wait outside the main entrance until students have finished and pick them up once performance is completed.
Pick Up - Students must be picked up immediately following the singing at the main gate entrance.
