Support the Band

The operation of a successful instrumental music program is not possible without parental and community support. There are many ways in which you can help:

Music Boosters

The Oak Harbor Music Boosters assist not only the bands, but the entire music department in many ways. They provide countless hours of their time fundraising, volunteering, chaperoning, etc. Without their support, the music program in Oak Harbor could not continue to improve and grow. If you have a child in band or choir, you are automatically a member of the Music Boosters!

Volunteer

With a ratio of approximately 1 teacher per 50 students in the band setting, functions outside of the classroom require a significant number of chaperones in order to be successful. Taking the time to chaperone not only helps out the band program, but shows the students that their parents and other community members care about and support what they are doing.

In addition to serving as a chaperone, volunteers are always needed to help in a variety of other ways! If you want more information as to how you can help, please contact us!

Financial Support

Financial support is a very important way in which you can help the Oak Harbor Band Department. Donations are used to purchase new school instruments, supplies, music, and uniforms, among many other things. All donations will be recognized in our concert programs throughout the year (anonymous donations are available as well if desired).
