5 county art show

Oak Harbor High School is proud to display the 53rd Annual Five-County Invitational Art Show.


Art teachers from Erie, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood Counties submitted quality artworks created by students and art educators. Various student artwork (both three-dimensional and two-dimensional) were judged. Please enjoy this online collaboration of artwork created by many talented students!


Each category is labeled and ribbons were rewarded to artists in each category.



definitions

Architectural-Renderings which demonstrate the designs of built structures or landscape architecture. These should not be mechanical drawings of architecture.

Ceramics- Hand Built-Primarily utilitarian pottery that stresses the clear usage of the following hand-building techniques:

coiling, slabbing, and pinching.

Figurative-Animal/human forms.

Objective-Realism, not including figurative.

Non-Objective-Artwork which has been substantially altered in terms of the true nature of the subject matter presented. Non-objective art may also include the usage of visual elements to create abstraction which has no representation of recognizable forms.

Mixed Media-A minimum of 80%-20% and/or at the discretion of the judge(s).

Original works-Work created by the artist

Perfect Copy-A direct duplication of an art piece without interpretation or additions on the part of the student. The original must be displayed with the student’s artwork.

Two-Dimensional-Artwork which consumes visual space consisting of height and width but is absent of physical depth.

Three-Dimensional- Artwork which occupies physical and visual space consisting of height, width, and depth. (All forms of relief are considered 3-D since they do have physical depth).
