Ms. Waynette Wilson

Hello NBES families! My name is Waynette Wilson and 2025 was my first year teaching in Buncombe County. I have 20+ years of experience in Madison County. I attended Mars Hill College where I earned my BA in Elementary Education and I received my Masters in Curriculum Instruction from Tusculum College. 

My teaching experience includes second grade, third grade and 3-5 Interventionist. I have spent the majority of my time teaching 2nd grade; this is where my heart is. I have always known I wanted to be a teacher from an early age. I love children and watching them grow academically. The most rewarding part of my job is watching students make the transformation from learning to read to reading to learn, 

 I am very excited to be a part of NBES. I communicate with parents through Dojo and use the Seesaw platform for remote learning assignments.
