Mrs. Villanueva- 1st grade teacher

Hello, I am Vanessa Villanueva and I am happy to be a 1st grade teacher at NBES! 

I grew up in Lima, Peru, and moved to the U.S. in 2019 with my husband, our three children, and our cat Masha. 

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Learning Disabilities in 2003 and have enjoyed working with elementary students ever since. I spent five wonderful years as a dual language teacher at NBES, where I focused on building a positive, supportive classroom where students feel empowered to grow both academically and personally. 

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, exploring new places, hiking, dancing, and hanging out with friends. 

I’m excited to continue growing with our amazing learning community at NBES!
