Tom Turner

Hello! I began my teaching career in 1992 as a Peace Corps volunteer in Uthai Thani, Thailand and have been happily sharing my love of the English language with students ever since. I am a proud graduate of The University of the South (B.A.) and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (M.A.T.) and am a National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certified teacher. Since coming to Owen High in 2015, I have largely taught English I and AP Language & Composition. When not grading essays, I can usually be found reading Dickens, hanging out with my awesome family, and spending as much time as possible at the beach.
