Tina Dula

Hello! My name is Tina Dula and I am thrilled to be teaching kindergarten at Fairview Elementary! I am an Asheville native and a product of our local school system. It is a pleasure to teach in the same schools that gave me so much growing up! I graduated from UNCA in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a K-6 licensure. I have been teaching kindergarten in Buncombe County since 2011 and joined the FES family in 2019.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and our six amazing children. I love to read, listen to music, and tend to my plants. I also love animals! We have a dog, a cat, a tank full of fish, and two guinea pigs. Guinea pigs Ruthie and Kiss join me in our classrooms and are well loved by our Fairview students and staff.

My teaching philosophy is one that centers around inquiry-based learning. Children are provided with opportunities to share and discuss their ideas in a collaborative fashion. This hands-on approach empowers students and builds self confidence.

I am so excited about this school year! It will be an amazing year of growth for your child and I feel privileged to be a part of their first year of school.
