With over a decade of coaching experience, Coach Spencer has worked across multiple sports at the high school and collegiate levels. Starting as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Ashe County High, he has since held roles at schools including Hickory High, Havelock High, and TC Roberson High.

At Havelock, he successfully led both the women’s volleyball and men’s lacrosse teams. He served as head coach of both the Men’s Lacrosse and the Women’s Volleyball programs from 2018 to 2020. 

At TC Roberson, Coach Spencer has served as the head coach of the women’s lacrosse team and was instrumental in establishing the men’s volleyball team. He has contributed as an assistant coach for women’s basketball and volleyball. Currently, he serves as the Head JV Volleyball Coach. In 2023, Coach Spencer expanded his leadership role to Assistant Athletic Director, where he helps to shape and advance the school’s athletic programs.

Coach Spencer is a proud graduate of Ashe County High School in West Jefferson, NC, and Appalachian State University.
