Tara Ross-Mowrey

My name is Tara Ross-Mowrey but students know me as Ms. Mowrey. I have been a school counselor with Buncombe County Schools since 2009 and at Pisgah Elementary since 2019. I attended Ohio University for my undergraduate degree in Child and Family Studies and received my Master's degree in School Counseling from Western Carolina University.

My family and I live in Candler where we enjoy spending time outdoors in the beautiful Hominy Valley. We spend a lot of time at sporting events and are always "Proud to be a Jet".

As your student's school counselor, it is my priority to build positive relationships with students and their support systems. I aim to grow the social emotional learning skills within all students and to support them with any challenges they may face.
