2nd Grade Teacher 

Hello students and families! My name is Miss Doss and I am excited to have your student in my class this year! My first year teaching at Sand Hill-Venable Elementary School was the 2022-23 school year. Go Jets! I grew up in Winston Salem NC and moved to Asheville to begin my teaching career. I graduated from Appalachian State University in May of 2022 with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and a Minor in Psychology. After graduation my love for the mountains and a rich community landed me in the Buncombe County area. As a lifelong learner myself, my passion is fostering the love that students have for learning. I believe that every student can learn; therefore, I will be your student's biggest supporter and advocate.  In my free time I enjoy cooking, spending time with loved ones/friends, and DIY activities.
