Stephanie Kaminer

I am so excited to be teaching in Buncombe County. I have been teaching since 2009 when I graduated from the University of South Carolina. I have taught in South Carolina as well as Texas. I have taught kindergarten all the way through 12th graders.  I am looking forward to sharing my love for art with all my students.

I believe that arts education is an important part of a student's complete education. I have come to believe through personal experience that the arts teach a student to be active and engaged learners, collaborate, and equip them with the necessary skills to navigate an ever changing world. The arts help create a sense of value, confidence, and accomplishment. The arts help foster an individual sense of identity which in turn helps a student develop as an individual and be comfortable in their own skin.
