Mr. Shua Scilex

Hey! I'm Mr. Shua (pronounced shwah), and I teach Chorus and General Music at Erwin Middle School. 

I grew up in Marshall, NC and I'm so blessed to call these mountains home. After high school, I studied Music and Studio Arts at Minnesota State University in Moorhead, and graduated with my BFA in 2021.

Making music is a lifelong passion of mine, and it is such a joy to get to share and cultivate a love of music in the next generation. When I'm not teaching, I love to play piano, sing, read, and paint.
