Shannon Fields Spanish 1, 2, 4
I have been teaching at AC Reynolds since 2018. I have taught Spanish 1-4, but this year I will only be teaching Spanish 1, 2 and 4. My fantastic colleague Sra. McLaughlin will be teaching Spanish 1, 2 and 3. My goal as a Spanish teacher is to inspire as many students as possible to develop Spanish proficiency so that they can make friendships with Spanish speakers, travel the world, enjoy Spanish language music and movies, know that they can accomplish hard things, improve study skills, grow cognitive skills, attain higher-paying employment and earn college credits.
I grew up in Madison, WI where I attended public schools and had fantastic Spanish teachers that inspired me to become a proficient Spanish speaker. After college I began teaching 5th grade, in Spanish, to recent immigrants from Latin America. I taught elementary grades for 14 years until I switched to teaching high school Spanish in 2018.
My courses will be organized in Google Classroom. Though I use Google Classroom extensively for organizing instruction, parents and students should only use Powerschool to see grades.
