Shanna Buckner 

I am a product of Buncombe County Schools! Now I teach in this county that I received my education in. 

I am beginning my 27th year as an educator.  I have spent  all of these years  except one  in Kindergarten!  I started teaching at Johnston in 2022.

Teaching is my calling in life! I can't imagine doing anything else! I love seeing all the amazing progress these young learners make in just one year. 

Your child will come home tired every day! We will be learning throughout the day.  We will read books, play, write, count, discover, explore, create, and have FUN every day! 

Our class will participate in Math , Literacy, Science, and Social Studies daily. 

Your child will go to PE, Art, Media Center, and Music.
