Shanna Buckner 

I am a product of Buncombe County Schools! I teach in the county where I received my education. 

I am beginning my 28th year as an educator.  I have spent  all of these years  except one  in Kindergarten!  I started teaching at Johnston in 2022.

Teaching is my calling in life! I can't imagine doing anything else! I love seeing all the amazing progress these young learners make in just one year. 

Your child will come home tired every day! We will read books, play, write, count, discover, explore, create, and have FUN! 

Our class will participate in Math, Literacy, Science, and Social Studies. 

Your child will go to PE, Art, Media Center, Music, and the STEM Lab.
