Head Football Coach




Shane Laws has been at A.C. Reynolds since 1997, serving as an assistant from 1997-2006. In 2007, Coach Laws took over the A.C. Reynolds football program. His record ranks him as one of the winningest coaches in all of North Carolina. Coach Laws is also the all-time winningest Head Coach in A.C. Reynolds football history in total games or winning percentage. With ACR’s rich football history, this is a tremendous accomplishment.

Since 2007, when he became the head coach, Coach Laws has won 11 conference championships, 2 western regional championships (1 4A, 1 3A,), a 4A State Championship in 2009 and a 3A State runner-up in 2017.

Coach Laws is a 1991 graduate of Newton Conover High School and a 1996 Appalachian State University graduate with degrees in Physical Education and Political Science and played 4 years of football. He is married to the lovely Katy Demarco Laws and they have three daughters Grace (The Citadel), Anna (University of North Carolina), and Gianna. Coach Laws is also USA Weightlifting certified.
