SFC (Ret.) Jamie M. Brown is originally from Texas and retired after 21 years of service in the U.S. Army. He has been the Army Instructor at Reynolds since November of 2015. SFC Brown began his military career at Ft. Benning, GA. Completing Infantry OSUT (One Station Unit Training) in 1992 before being assigned to the First Armored Division at Coleman Barracks, in Mannheim Germany. His assignments from there included; Ft. Lewis, WA., Rose Barracks, Vilseck, Germany, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO., Camp Long, Wonju, South Korea and a second tour at Ft. Lewis, WA. His last assignment was with the 4thBrigade 82nd Airborne Division (508th PIR) as a member of a Security Force Assistance Team advising Afghan National Security Forces. SFC Brown deployed on numerous occasions including Bosnia, Kosovo, Hungary and Afghanistan. During the course of his military career SFC Brown completed numerous schools and training courses including Airborne School and Drill Sergeant School. SFC Brown served at increasing levels of responsibility for an Infantryman from Rifleman to Battalion Operations Sergeant and Rifle Platoon Sergeant. Upon his retirement from the Army, SFC Brown was accepted as the JROTC Army Instructor at Owen High School, in Black Mountain. After two years there he transferred to Reynolds and is now a proud member of the Rocket Battalion.
