Hello!

I am a fourth grade teacher at Black Mountain Elementary. I have been teaching since 2006 but started at Black Mountain Elementary in 2020. I have been teaching fourth grade since 2010.

I grew up in Lexington, NC, but came to Buncombe County for college (UNCA) and then never left after I graduated!

My favorite part about teaching is being with the students during a lesson. There's a lot more that goes into this job, but that's where I find the most joy.

I am passionate about mathematics education and have spent much of my career learning and leading in that area.
