Russell Thompson

I have been teaching at North Windy Ridge since 2010. I started in the ELA classroom and shifted to teaching STEM in 2015. I graduated from Tennessee public schools and attended college at East Tennessee State University where I finished my Master's in Education.

Teaching is truly my passion. I love connecting with students through the Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) Engineering Design model. Students learn that failure is part of life and totally normal. It's where they go after things don't work out that really counts. They learn they are the problem solvers of tomorrow and they have exactly what it takes to make the world a better place!
