I have been teaching at North Buncombe High School since 2004 and previously taught on the island of Guam for 3.5 years.
I grew up and attended public school in Wallingford, Connecticut
I graduated from the Southampton Campus of Long Island University with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science with a concentration in Biology
As part of my studies I travelled to Fiji, Tonga, and the Cook Islands to study Tropical Marine Biology
I recieved an internship and worked for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Balboa, Panama for 6 months working on the relationships of Cichlid fish using mitochondrial DNA.
I attended the University of Guam for graduate school and while I was there I acquired my teaching certification
