Instructional Coach

    I have worked with Buncombe County Schools since 2003. I attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a K-6 Elementary Certification. In 2018, I added a K-12  Reading Certification to my licensure.  In 2021, I obtained my Masters of Administration in Education from Western Carolina University. 

            I have taught Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Grade. I have served as a Title 1 Lead Teacher. I began serving as an Instructional Coach in 2017. For me, teaching is a calling and a passion.  I believe that all children can, and do learn; and children can learn at high levels. In order for children to learn at high levels, it is the responsibility of the parents, child, community, and school to invest in each and every student by building relationships to meet the needs of each individual child.
