What you should know about me:
Education is my passion! I absolutely love teaching. Middle schoolers are the best because they make me laugh every day.
I started at Valley Springs in 2022 and hope to finish out my teaching career here because I love it so much!
I use google classroom for all of my classes.
Educational background:
I am a native of Asheville and a product of Buncombe County Schools!
I graduated with a BA in English from UNC-Chapel Hill and a MA in teaching from Western Carolina University.
I am a National Board Certified teacher.
Experience:
I have been teaching since 2008.
I have been teaching in Buncombe County Schools since 2011.
I have taught high school seniors, freshman, and sophomores, and I've been an instructional assistant in elementary school, but middle school holds my heart!
I have been teaching 7th grade English with Buncombe County Schools since 2011. For 3 of those years, I also taught 7th grade Social Studies.
