My name is Sergio Nicolás Contreras Forero. I am a teacher from the city of Bogotá, Colombia, and I have dedicated the last 8 years to working in education at different levels (elementary, secondary, university, and postgraduate).

I have a degree in social communication and journalism, as well as in philosophy, and I hold a master's degree in education. These studies have allowed me to approach teaching with the goal of broadening children's horizons, strengthening their critical thinking, and giving them tools for their future.

I very much enjoy sharing Latin American culture with the world, as I believe that through active listening and group learning, we can build closer communities in a world whose interconnectedness demands a high level of cultural preparedness. I am very grateful for the constant support from home, as I consider that a good education requires initial guidance from the family.

I love music, soccer, poetry, and history, so we will be able to share many of these interests as we explore the cultural identity of many Spanish-speaking places in our classes.
