Ms. Paige Cook

Physical Education/ Health Teacher

Hello, my name is Ms. Cook! I’m excited to meet you.

I’d love to tell you a bit about myself. I earned my B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Mars Hill University and I have taught Physical Education for 28 years. I am passionate about Physical Education and am proud to share that I was named the NCShape Dance Teacher of the Year in 2021. I love helping young people learn about the benefits of exercise including building strong bodies, having fun, and working together.

At North Buncombe Elementary, my Physical Education classes are full of students with various interests and developmental levels. For this reason, in every class, I attempt to provide all of the students with Physical Education experiences that are both beneficial and enjoyable. Each lesson is adjusted to take into account the wide range of skill and fitness levels that characterizes elementary aged students.

I am also the Head Coach of the Bouncing Blackhawks. For the past 31 years, the Bouncing Blackhawks have positively represented North Buncombe Elementary by learning complex jump-rope and dance programs and performing those programs for our community. If you would like to learn more about the Bouncing Blackhawks, please contact me at Paige.cook@bcsemail.org.
