Coach Kenny Ford

Ford, 57, is an Asheville native who graduated from Mars Hill University in 1980 and then received a masters degree from Gardner-Webb 10 years later. Ford got his start in coaching as an assistant at McDowell. Kenny soon after became a coach in 1986.

He won 230 games as the head coach for Owen, a record number with a single school in Buncombe County. He delivered his hometown 14 conference championships and six undefeated seasons.
