Welcome to our class page! I'm very excited to be a part of the North Buncombe Elementary family. I have two wonderful children and we are quite the animal lovers! We would have a farm full if we could. My son is in elementary school and my daughter is in middle school. They keep me on my toes and I'm so grateful to be their mom.

I have over ten years of experience in teaching and have spent most of my career at Madison High School. I was grateful to have been awarded the Teacher of the Year award and also the Rotary Teacher award. I earned by BA in Special Education from Mars Hill University. However, I also attended Western Carolina University and the University of Oregon. I joined the NBE team in February of 2022. My students are my "Why". I truly look forward to coming in to school each day. I believe that my students need to feel loved, safe and engaged, each and every day. I'm fortunate to have my students for several years before they transition to 5th grade. I want them to know that we are a team, a family and that we will learn and grow together.
