Ms. Erika Fine

Hello! My name is Erika Fine and I am a resource teacher working with grades K-4. I primarily provide instruction in the areas of ELA and math. I have been teaching at North Buncombe Elementary since 2026. Before working here, I spent 5 years working in East Tennessee Public Schools. I am originally from Tennessee and attended East Tennessee State University for my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I received my special education certification from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2023. I grew up spending summers in WNC with family and fell in love with the region. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking, and white water rafting. 

I love teaching because I get to help every student discover their strengths and celebrate their progress in their own unique way. Watching a child gain confidence and realize they can achieve something they once thought was too hard is the best feeling in the world. Teaching special education allows me to make meaningful connections, build trust, and celebrate every small victory that leads to lifelong success.
