Ms. Davis- Avery's Creek School Counselor

• Welcome! I am a Professional School Counselor at Avery's Creek. I joined Avery's Creek in 2021 as an interim counselor and am enjoying being with our school as a full-time counselor since Fall 2022.

• Working with students is my passion. We support students' social, emotional, and academic growth with focus on different topics of character development, friendship, feelings, emotional regulation, safety, and future academic success with Tier 1, 2, and 3 implementation including classroom, group, and individual sessions.

• My personal goal is to support students as they grow their self-esteem, build community, and help students succeed socially, academically, and emotionally as they grow into leaders at our school. Each student has a voice and I welcome students as they are and to share who they are.

• I received my bachelor's in Communication Studies with a minor in Communication Disorders from East Tennessee State University in 2013. I obtained a Master of Counseling from East Tennessee State University in 2017 with a focus in school counseling.

• When I'm away from work, I enjoy playing volleyball, listening to live music, east-coast swing dancing, and traveling. I enjoy taking my daughter to museums, aquariums, and on adventures near and far!

• I maintain a welcoming open-door policy. If you have questions, big or small, I welcome the opportunity to connect with parents and will work with you to support your student as part of our school community. We look forward to seeing our students each day!
