I am excited to be the Choral Director at Valley Springs Middle School. I love this school, community, and what we stand for as a school. I have been a middle school Choral Director for 24 years, and I have enjoyed teaching middle school students to love the art of choral music.
I grew up on a 1, 000 acre dairy farm in Rowan County, and am the youngest of six children. I received an AAS in Agricultural Business Management from NC State University, a Bachelor's in Music Education from Mars Hill College, and a Master’s in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University.
I have five children who I love spending time with. Meredith is a senior at Wingate University, Hayden is a Freshman at AB Tech, Carson is an eighth grader at Apple Valley, Abby is a junior at UNCC, and Alex is a Freelance Musician.
In my free time I enjoy running, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, reading, playing the piano, and just hanging out.
