Mrs. Tori King  

Hello everyone! My name is Tori King, and I am going into year 12 here at Erwin Middle School. I have been here for my entire teaching tenure, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I am a Warrior through-and-through and graduated from Erwin High School and then attended Western Carolina University. There I graduated summa cum laude and earned dual degrees in English and Education. 

I am originally from New Jersey. I moved to Leicester when I was fourteen and now live in Asheville. I love the mountains, and it’s where I was fortunate enough to meet my partner, Mr. King. We met in college and have been happily married for the past ten years. Together we have five fiesty and adorable cats: Marble, Boulder, Mica, Crystal, and Onyx!

I absolutely love my job; there isn’t anything else I’d rather do. I have had the privilege of being the Erwin Middle Teacher of the Year twice (2021 and 2026), and I was selected as the Erwin District Teacher of the Year in 2026.  I want the best for your children, and I will give them my all each and every day.
