Mrs. Gibson

Hi! My name is Jo Gibson, and I am SO fortunate to teach 4th grade here at North Buncombe Elementary School.

• I grew up in the Chapel Hill area and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill! GO TARHEELS!

• I spent the first 4 years of my career teaching 4th grade in Carrboro at the school where I completed my student teaching.

• My husband and I moved to Asheville in 2006, and I have been teaching 4th grade at NBES ever since.

• My husband, our two sons, and I love living in the mountains of North Carolina!

• I have been teaching 4th grade for many years. Students at this age are incredibly fun, hard-working, creative, and inquisitive. Seeing them grow academically and develop a love for learning is what makes this job the best!
