Mrs. Fuseler

Welcome!

I have been teaching 7th grade Social Studies at Enka Middle School since 2018. I previously taught middle school and high school Social Studies in South Carolina from 2004-2018. I was raised in Spartanburg, SC and spent most of my adult life living in Columbia, SC, prior to moving to Asheville.

I attended the University of South Carolina where I earned a B.A. in History and a Master's Degree in Education. I also hold my National Board Certification in Adolescent Social Studies.

Planning Hours (for phone calls or conferences) -  Monday through Friday  from 9:15-10:30

The majority of our class materials and assignments will be posted on students' Social Studies Google Classroom page. Important reminders and communications will also be posted there as well. *class codes will be provided to students at the start of the school year

Parents - You will be invited to receive updates on your child's progress from Google Classroom once your email address is provided.

Communication - Students and parents can email me directly with any questions or concerns. I will share my email at the start of the school year or you can call the front office to obtain it. You can also click on the "Contact Me" tab in the top right corner of this page to send me an email as well.

7th grade Social Studies covers Modern World History from 1400-present. Students examine the impacts of conflict and disease throughout history, the various economic and government systems that developed, how competition for resources influenced world relations, and how cultures have been united and divided by world events.
