I teach general music for fifth and sixth graders and Chorus for sixth graders.

• In Fifth grade students will learn to sing and play instruments alone and with others many genres of music. Students will learn music terminology. Fifth graders will learn the history of Popular American music.

• In Sixth Grade General music students will learn to sing songs and play instruments from various cultures around the world. Students will learn to sight read music, conduct and identify characteristics of music. Students will learn about ancient music.

• Sixth Grade Chorus students will focus on proper techniques for singing. Students will learn to sight read music. Students will learn to sing music from many different world cultures. Chorus members will perform in our school and community throughout the year.
