Biography

I was born and raised in South Carolina.   After teaching in several states (CA, NV, SC, GA) in grades 2-6, our family moved to Weaverville where I joined the NBES staff. I have been teaching 4th grade ever since.  

My husband and I have had the privilege of raising our three children in this community.  Our daughters live in Ithaca, NY and Durham, NC and our son lives and works in Charlotte.  

Classroom Information

1.  I believe that children learn best when the adults around them participate in a partnership.

2. Communication is very important between families and school.  I am available through my Buncombe County email and well as the REMIND app for current families.

3. We use Google Classroom as our digital platform, however, students will also have paper/pencil tasks, as well as various projects.
