This class focuses on North Carolina state history, integrating both local and national contexts to help students appreciate their democratic legacy and develop civic skills. Eighth graders will build on previous knowledge, engaging in an in-depth study of historical foundations and principles from the Colonial Era to present times through inquiry-based learning.

All of my assignments are posted in Google Classroom or Infinite Campus. Grades will only be posted in Infinite Campus. I have high expectations for my students and challenge them to exceed their potential. However, I make it fun and try to keep all students energized and focused. I will always work with your student to acheive their best work, however they also need to match that effort. When opportunities present themselves, ask them how things are going in Social Studies. You can also see what's going on through the "What's the Agenda" tab for information.
