Michelle Knapik
Ms. Knapik at Stonehenge!
My name is Michelle Knapik, and I am a 5th grade Science and Social Studies teacher this year. I have taught for over 20 years with experience in 3rd grade through 7th grade. I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from Western Carolina University and my M.A. in Elementary Education from Montreat College. I hold certifications in K-6 Elementary, Middle School ELA and SS, K-12 AIG, and National Board of Professional Teaching Standards in Early/Middle Childhood Literacy.
I grew up in Haywood County and taught there for 22 years. I was born in Florida, but I was raised in the amazing mountains. My family adores our dogs and loves to fish, hike, and travel.
Oddly enough, I grew up with a learning disability in reading and math. However, I refused to let that get the best of me and decided I wanted to help children love to learn. I look forward to getting to know your child and working with you to make this a successful year.
