Ms.Melanie Ramsey

Ms. Ramsey, Principal

Melanie Ramsey has served as principal of the Progressive Education Program since 2018. Prior to joining PEP, she served as an assistant principal for Enka Middle and Erwin Middle, and then as principal of Leicester Elementary and principal of Eblen Intermediate. She has also taught physical education, coached multiple sports, served as the athletic director for three different schools, and driven a bus.

Ms. Ramsey earned her undergraduate degree in physical education from Mars Hill College, where she was a member of the women's basketball team. She also has a Master's Degree in Education and an Educational Specialist Degree from East Tennessee State University.

Ms. Ramsey is married to Kevin Roberson. Mr. Roberson is Assistant Principal at Community High School. They enjoy spending time with their family, traveling, playing golf, and riding their Harley-Davidson.
