Ms. Hudson
I have been alternating teaching ELA and Intensive Reading since 2005 and I began my teaching career as a middle school teacher in Florida.
As beautiful as the ocean is, i much prefer living in the mountains and I am so happy to have relocated to the mountains of Western North Carolina with my family and my dog Teddy in 2020. I definitely feel at home here! My brother Dr. David Hudson is a Professor at WCU and is the head of the Health and Sciences Dept. so, I receive lots of support and encouragement to lead a healthy and active life! I enjoy gardening, bike riding, camping, kayaking, and visits with family and friends.
After all my years of teaching, I have discovered Buncombe County School District and I have never been happier!
I attended college at Westfield State University in Western Massachusetts and majored in Elementary Education.
The reason I chose teaching is because I find it very rewarding to witness children learning and growing both academically and emotionally. Teaching allows me to be an integral part of this process for which i am grateful.
As a means of instruction, I incorporate both hands-on learning and technology such as Google Classroom, Epic, You Tube, and Kahoots in the classroom.
