A little bit about me!

I was born and raised in New Jersey where I played a lot of sports growing up; I participated in soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and track through High School. I have an older brother, Dan, who got me started in all those activities. I was recruited to play college soccer and I ultimately chose to go to Western Carolina University where I played four very successful and fun seasons. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my degree in Health and Physical Education in May 2013. In December 2014, I completed my M.A.Ed with a concentration in Health and Physical Education. I incorporate many different activities in my class including individual sports, team sports, fitness, and lifetime activities. I adapt all lessons to improve skills for all students. I have been at NBMS since 2014 and plan on continuing an excellent Physical Education program!

In addition to teaching, I am still involved in the soccer scene that the Asheville area has to offer. I have been playing for the semi-pro team, Asheville City Soccer Club, since its inaugural season in 2018. On the coaching side, in the fall I am the assistant women’s soccer coach at Warren Wilson College and in the spring, I coach out very own girls’ soccer team here at NBMS! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about PE or girls’ soccer!
