Kristin Williams

I am so proud to be a part of Buncombe County Schools. Black Mountain Primary is where I always wanted to be! I am originally from High Point, NC. I have three children and I love taking them out to discover our beautiful mountains by hiking, bicycling and paddling.

I graduated from Appalachian State University, where I explored my passions of Studio Art and English. I believe reading is an incredible doorway to learning about the world around us and ourselves. And I believe everyone can be an artist! I find that using art to analyze a subject gives us an opportunity to learn something in a new way.

I enjoy seeing kids get excited about math and science. Children have such a natural curiosity. Investigating how the pieces of our everyday life work, flow, fit together is so essential. Finding those "Aha!" moments with the class are special moments to treasure and share.

I think SeeSaw is an exciting format to learn through and I look forward to seeing the projects we can create using this app.
