  • I began teaching in 2003, began teaching for Buncombe County Schools in 2016, and began teaching at Owen Middle School in 2022.

  • I earned a Master of Arts degree in teaching with a special education emphasis from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

  • I also am a National Board Certified Teacher.

  • I teach because I love interacting with my students and helping them learn to be successful academically and to learn to advocate for themselves.

  • I enjoy teaching using hands-on and interactive learning activities.

  • I use Google Classroom to provide learning structure and facilitate technology activities.
